Below is a list of talks by eminent Catholic speakers on a wide range of subjects. There can also be found other items of interest including some plainsong. The files are recorded in .mp3 format and can be listened to through Windows Media Player. They can also be saved (click here to learn how) on a computer's hard disc and then burned to a CD with suitable software, or transferred to an iPod. In the interests of making the teachings of the Catholic Church available to all, the speakers have donated these recordings to Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice for free downloading and distribution. Some of the original recordings are the legacy of John Edwards (R.I.P.) of CV Productions, and in those instances, the production was by Arthur Johnson of Lodestone Recordings. The recordings must not be altered and they must not be sold on. Every one is worth hearing.

From the "What We Catholics Believe" Series - The Timeless and Objective Beliefs of the Catholic Church. Inspired by F.J.Sheed and Maisie Ward.

Daphne McLeod taught for forty years in Catholic Junior and primary schools, daily teaching Religious Education. As a member of the Catholic Evidence Guild, and friend of Frank Sheed and Maisie Ward, she spoke regularly at Speaker’s Corner in Hyde Park. Since retiring, she has worked to protect the Faith inheritance of Catholics in the U.K. by her Chairmanship of Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice, being part of the team responsible for bringing many famous speakers, including Mother Angelica of EWTN, to address the Faith of our Fathers Conferences. Her edifying presentation in these quality recordings is ideally suitable for parents and teachers who are trying to teach children the Faith.

Talks About Fatima by various speakers.
Hamish Fraser The Urgency of Fatima: "In the meantime,Russia continues to spread her errors throughout the world, as prophesied at Fatima, and the most effective way is throughout the Church" (60 mins) talk_fatUrg.mp3
Rev. Joseph de Sainte Marie OCD Fatima 20th Century Prophecy: This Carmelite Theologian in Rome says "The message of Fatima has been and will be a sign of contradiction. It is misunderstood, it is resisted. To undertake any theological or apostolic work to make this message better known is to embrace difficulties. It is one of the sacrifices asked for by Our Lady". (70 mins) talk_fatProph.mp3
Dr.Wm.A.Marra Ph.D Whatever happened to Fatima?: "Fatima speaks, first of all, of the vision of Hell, a most unpopular topic in the last twenty-five years". (90 mins) talk_fatWhat.mp3
Dr.Wm.A.Marra Ph.D Fatima, Light of the World: "Almost like a script, the predictions and warnings have been acted out, and we find ourselves in an incredible valley of darkness". (80 mins) talk_fatLight.mp3
Fr.Vincent Miceli SJ Mary's Peace Plan: "So here you have Our Lady trying to turn a whole world that is moving and rushing towards Atheism, away from God, by her Peace Plan at Fatima". (44 mins) talk_fatPeace.mp3
Anthony Fraser - Editor of Apropos Fatima, a Millenial Warning: " Recorded in 1999, it is one of the most explicit expositions of Fatima in the light of the last months of the 20th century. In many points, he refers to the writings of M. Arnaud de Lassus". (82 mins) talk_fatWarn.mp3
Stephen Smith Fatima, the Perfect Answer to Liberalism: "The Angel tells the children, when asking them to offer prayers and sacrifices in reparation for sins:'The most Holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary have designs of mercy on you'. This love by the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary is totally opposed to today's notion that sacrifice is out, and that 'creating a better community' is our task". (67 mins) talk_fatAnswer.mp3
Presentations about Our Lady and St.Maximillian Kolbe by Damien Walne and Joan Flory.

Narrated by John Patrick Smith And then he smiled: The story of Maximillian Kolbe, who used the talents of his 761 Franciscan confrères in a massive departmentalised organisation combining editorial, typography, linography, printing, building, and domestic departments and a radio station all in the service of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. He sealed his witness for Her at Auschwitz by offering himself as a replacement for a condemned man. talk_MaxKolbe.mp3
Narrated by John Patrick Smith The Lady Said: On 11th February 1858 an event happened in Lourdes which was to transform it into a place of pilgrimage, visted by millions each year. talk_OLSaid.mp3

The Imitation of Christ by Thomas à Kempis read by Rev. Hugh Thwaites SJ  (Production by Arthur Johnson)

After the bible, there is no sounder spiritual reading than The Imitation of Christ. It encourages us gently, yet with firmness, to follow Christ more faithfully, and shows us how to do it. Fifteen minutes a day would give us a balanced spiritual diet. Since it was written, early in the 15th Century, thousands of editions and translations have appeared.

Selected Encylicals read by Rev. Hugh Thwaites SJ
Pascendi Gregis by Pope St.Pius X: An encyclical on the Doctrines of the Modernists. This has been officially out of print for years. One would think that it, and its author, never existed. Fortunately, it was written in a manner which is ideal for spoken-word production. It is clear, forthright, concise, descriptive, it is like a mountain stream in a desert, with a reputation of miraculously curing spiritual blindness.
